First recognized in 2019 and again in 2020, this year’s announcement confirms that Lightenco is not only building on past success—we’re accelerating into the future. As we grow, we remain focused on a single core idea: helping our clients lower their energy use ands strengthen their environmental impact through smart, sustainable solutions.

When we reflect on what’s behind this recognition, it always comes back to one thing: the clients and partners who trust us to support their buildings, portfolios, and long-term energy strategies.

Over the past several years, we’ve worked shoulder to shoulder with property managers, asset managers, engineers, facilities professionals, and executives across Canada. In every engagement, we’ve aimed to bring clarity, reliability, and impact to their lighting, EV charging, and broader energy-efficiency decisions.

A New President to Guide Our Next Phase

This summer, we welcomed Trefor Munn-Venn as President of Lightenco. With deep experience in sustainable energy, executive leadership, and strategic growth, Trefor’s mandate is clear: to guide and accelerate the next phase of Lightenco’s journey.

His leadership brings fresh energy to our already strong foundation, and we’re already seeing the impact as we refine our internal systems, strengthen client support, and explore new service models.

Launch of Lightenco Electrical Contractors

In response to growing client needs—and our own desire to deliver an even more integrated experience—we officially launched Lightenco Electrical Contractors, a full-service commercial electrical company.

This new sister company allows us to serve clients from design to installation and beyond, with in-house electrical expertise that’s aligned with the same values, standards, and service excellence that Lightenco is known for.

Whether clients need full lighting retrofits, EV charger installations, or service upgrades to accommodate solar and other technologies, Lightenco Electrical Contractors is now ready to support them directly.

Expansion into Commercial EV Charging

As buildings become smarter and more electrified, we’ve seen a clear rise in demand for EV charging infrastructure—not just in parking lots, but as a core amenity in hospitality, multi-residential, and institutional spaces.

This year, we expanded our service offering to include turnkey commercial EV charging, including design, permitting, and installation. We’re proud to be the preferred supplier for Marriott Hotels and to support other leading clients as they transition to electric mobility.

This expansion is not just a new revenue stream—it’s a natural extension of our expertise in energy systems and our commitment to helping clients reduce their carbon footprint while preparing for the future of transportation.

While we’ve grown in size, scope, and ambition, our approach has remained grounded in the same values that shaped Lightenco from day one:
