Account Manager – GTA

 

Reports To: Director of Sales

Location: GTA, Ontario. This role will be a remote position.

Status: Full-time Employee

Compensation: Base of $60-80K depending on experience & qualifications plus a competitive commission program

Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager who has direct knowledge related to energy management. We are looking for someone who will proactively prospect, identify, qualify and develop sales opportunities through to receiving purchase orders.

Successful candidates will be those who love to develop plans, tactics and actions to grow sales pipeline because it allows them to build and nurture strong relationships with new prospects and existing clients.

You will support and participate in events and marketing activities to help promote our product lines and connect with new customers.

You care deeply about accurately documenting your plans, activities, and opportunities in a timely fashion using CRM systems.

Critical Requirements

A successful candidate will possess the following critical requirements:

  • Sales experience—You have a minimum of 3 years of experience selling energy-related services and products in this role at another organization of similar size.
  • Achieving results—You have in the past 3 years, consistently met or exceeded sales targets and quotas.
  • Knowledge of the energy market—You have working knowledge of the energy utility market, the Conservation Demand Management (CDM) market, government programs and key authorities.

  • Familiarity with energy-management related technologies and workflows
  • Understanding of basic energy auditing principles

  • Experience with subsidy process management

Experience

  • 3+ years in a sales role (mandatory)
  • Business Development or Outbound Marketing experience in an energy product/services-related company

  • Have consistently met or exceeded sales target (+100%) and can substantiate this

  • Demonstrable success in guiding a sales pursuit from prospect to close
